Lettuce for chicks

Today at work I fed the future layers some lettuce.These birds have decided that people are terrifying, and jam themselves in a corner to hide.They're just past the awkward stage.One intrepid bird always sticks their neck out first.I had to be outside, with the door closed, before they would emerge from hiding.
